Barbican Art Gallery, and the new free gallery, The Curve, are housed in Barbican Centre, a Grade II listed building and the biggest European performing arts centre. Barbican Art Gallery exhibits work from top international artists and architects, which comprises a vibrant mixture of photography, fashion, design and architecture. Late night events and talks are held each Thursday until 10pm, when visitors can practice their ping pong and test the furniture. Situated in the middle of Barbican Estate, on Silk Street, Barbican Centre hosts contemporary and classical music concerts, art exhibitions, theatre productions and film screenings. The Centre boasts three gourmet restaurants, seven conference halls, two trade exhibition halls, a conservatory and a library, and its concert hall is home to the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. Barbican Art Gallery is easily accessed via Barbican tube station, Moorgate tube station, Farringdon station and Liverpool Street railway station.
