Information:

Located in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, the Hammersmith Apollo is one of London's premier live entertainment venues. Performers such as Count Basie, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and, most recently, Florence and the Machine, have all performed at this West London venue, reputed to be one of the largest and best-preserved theatres in the city. The attractive Art Deco building, now a Grade II listed building, opened its doors as the Gaumont Palace Cinema in 1932. One of its treasures is the original Compton pipe organ, which was completely restored at the insistence of English Heritage. The Hammersmith Apollo is directly opposite the Broadway Shopping Centre, which contains the local tube and bus stations. The Hammersmith Underground is on the Piccadilly, District and Hammersmith & City lines, and some 14 bus routes, including 9, 10, 72, 211, 220, 295, 391 and 419, service the area.
