Information:

In the heart of London's hip and happening Camden Town, Koko is an iconic nightclub and gig venue that plays host to some of the biggest names on the international music scene, such as Coldplay, Prince and My Chemical Romance. The classical stone building, topped with a copper dome, belies the rock and pop acts for which the venue is famed. It began life in 1900 as The Camden Theatre, offering opera, then went on to become a variety venue, a cinema, a BBC radio theatre - after surviving World War II intact - until it became a live music venue in the early 1970s. Its current incarnation as Koko has been the most successful yet, most shows filling its 1,410 capacity. Situated opposite Mornington Crescent Underground station, Koko opens at 6.30pm, except Sundays, and 9.30pm on Saturdays, which are usually club nights when the headline act comes on at around midnight.
