Situated in Knightsbridge, in London, the Royal Albert Hall is a popular arts venue that hosts over 350 performances each year, including classical and rock concerts, opera, ballet and, since 1941, the annual summer Proms Concerts, daily renditions of orchestral classical music. With a design influenced by ancient amphitheatres and constructed out of red brick, dominated by a dome of glazed steel, the Royal Albert Hall is one of the United Kingdom's most distinctive buildings. and is recognised the world over. The Grade I listed building is dedicated to the Consort Prince Albert, and has hosted an array of famous artists, including Janis Joplin, Robbie Williams, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, ABBA and many more. The Hall can be easily accessed by public transport, with the London Underground station, South Kensington, close by. Alternatively, London buses 9, 10, 52, 360 and 452 stop at the Royal Albert Hall.
