Information:

An old-fashioned venue that draws the most up-to-date of audiences, Shepherd's Bush Empire started life as a music hall where Charlie Chaplin raised a laugh in 1906. Today, the likes of Bowling for Soup and Feeder still pull the crowds to fill this 2,000-capacity grand old auditorium, which is an established favourite on the international contemporary music tour circuit for fans and performers. Situated in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, Shepherd's Bush Empire is now run by the Academy Music Group. From the 1950s to 1990s, it belonged to the BBC, and was used to produce iconic TV shows such as Hancock's Half Hour and Juke Box Jury - not to mention music shows starring the likes of Cliff Richard, Lulu and Petula Clark. Ever filled with the sound of music, Empire is within easy reach of Shepherd's Bush Underground station on the Central or Hammersmith & City Line.
