Trafalgar Square is located at the centre of London and is one of the liveliest and best-visited open areas in the city. Numerous artists' performances and events take place there. Its most famous feature is Nelson's Column, built in memory of Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the Battle of Trafalgar, for which the square is named.
